Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP)® Exam Preparation Course

The PMP® Exam Preparation Course, delivered by ALTAWAIL Consulting & Training as a PMI Authorized Training Partner (PMI ATP), helps participants develop competencies in project and team leadership, managing people, processes, and the business environment, and applying predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches. The program provides 35 hours of project management education and prepares participants for the PMP® exam and for leading projects effectively and professionally.

What Will You Gain?ALTAWAIL is a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP). This 35-hour instructor-led program uses PMI-developed training content aligned with the current PMP® Examination Content Outline and satisfies the PMP® application’s project management training requirement.

Course Objectives:
At the end of this course, the participants should be able to:

PDU Breakdown:

If a participant already holds a PMI certification, this course may qualify for PDUs. The final allocation across Ways of Working, Power Skills, and Business Acumen will be based on the approved course content and PMI reporting requirements.

PMP® Certification Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must complete at least 35 hours of project management education and satisfy one of the following education and professional-experience pathways:

  • Secondary education or equivalent and at least 60 months of non-overlapping experience leading projects.
  • Completion of a recognized associate’s-level, higher-certificate, or advanced technical/vocational program classified at EQF Level 5, ISCED Level 5, or the corresponding national level for post-secondary or short-cycle tertiary education, plus at least 48 months (four years) of non-overlapping experience leading projects within the past ten years.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher—or an officially recognized bachelor-equivalent qualification—and at least 36 months of non-overlapping experience leading projects.
  • A bachelor’s or postgraduate degree from a GAC-accredited program and at least 24 months of non-overlapping experience leading projects.

All qualifying project experience must:

  • Have been gained within the ten years preceding the application.
  • Be non-overlapping.
  • Have been gained in a professional setting.
  • Include experience leading and directing projects.

Active CAPM® credential holders are not required to document the 35 hours of project management education, provided they meet the applicable education and professional-experience requirements.

Path to a PMP® Certification:

  1. Fulfill the Eligibility Requirements

    Confirm the applicable education pathway, qualifying non-overlapping project leadership experience, and completion of the required project management education.

  2. Complete the PMP® exam preparation program

    Attend the training sessions and complete the required activities and assessments to receive a certificate confirming 35 hours of project management education.

  3. Submit Your Application to PMI

    Create an account on PMI.org, document the required education, training, and project leadership experience, and submit the application for review.

  4. Complete the Audit Process if Selected

    Provide the requested education, training, and professional-experience documentation.

  5. Schedule and Take the Exam

    After application approval and payment, schedule and take the exam using one of the available authorized testing options.

  6. Earn and Maintain the Certification

    Pass the examination to earn the PMP® certification. Maintain the certification by earning and reporting 60 PDUs during each three-year certification cycle and completing PMI’s renewal requirements.
